642 - Art Therapy Supervision

In this course, students will refine and demonstrate professional, clinical, therapeutic, and art therapy skills in preparedness for graduation and practice as a professional art therapist. Students will use arts-based supervision to consolidate their theoretical approach to art therapy practice. They demonstrate insight and skill in working with the intersection of their own cultural identity and that of their clients/participants, developing trauma-informed and culturally safe art therapy skills. They will demonstrate a capacity to use supervision effectively and practice self-care to support ethical and professional practice.
