Jack's Playroom: A True Story about Art Therapy with a Young Boy Coping with the Death of his Father
by Noel Dupuis
The story was inspired by one boy’s experience with art therapy while coping with grief. Grief is a natural response to death and no one experiences grief in the same way. Supporting a child experiencing grief is not an easy task, especially while processing your own grief. Jack’s Playroom is written and illustrated as a children’s book, and includes a chapter to parents and caregivers reviewing common feelings and behaviors that are associated with grief in children and how art therapy can help to support their process of grief.
