“I don’t think I knew, going in, how this could change me. How I would grow not only as a clinician, but how I would grow as a person. And how connected I would feel to myself and the work. And how much more well I am because I have art as a recourse for myself.”

“I actually looked at every school in the UK. I even applied to do the MSC in Edinburgh…[but] was really looking for a program that would give me a very holistic and well-rounded approach to art therapy. One of the things that drew me to KATI was that it had a very immersive program in terms of theory. So, covering everything from ecological to dreamwork to clinical psychology…which was exactly what I was looking for.”

“I live on a reserve–in northeastern Canada. I needed a school that would be responsive to the culture that I was bringing and I found KATI was excellent in that regard. They really valued cultural awareness and cultural competency and they really encouraged me to bring that. So, I was able to use Indigenous research methodology.”
